Will Darling is a multi-disciplinary artist and writer. In all the work that he does, he is passionate about the relationship between trans and queer art and social movements. Here are some snapshots of what Will has accomplished, as well as some of what he is working on now:
He is an accomplished journalist. Locally - he has written for The Seattle Times, The Stranger, South Seattle Emerald and Seattle Weekly. Nationally - he has written for Variable West, The Believer, and Azucar Mag.
He is a recipient of grant awards from Artist Trust and 4Culture and has completed residency’s with Velocity, Washington State University, Town Hall, and ART PARTY.
He has self-published several writing projects, including his most recent chapbook: Gay Cabin. He is set to start writing the second installment of Gay Cabin, titled Gay Chalet, as an artist in residence at the Sou’wester Lodge in Seaview, Washington.
He serves as a mentor and Teaching Artist with TeenTix and Arts Corps.
He is the founder and lead designer for Good Boy Designs - a queer jewelry company.
